Need switch settings for Steinhausen watch winder to suit an Omega Coaxial movement. I do not have the original manual, and I cannot tell how to set the switches to get the appropriate winding action for.

You can´t overwind an automatic movement. There´s a clutch to prevent this. I realize my post was unclear, so let me clarify. Obviously you are right an automatic watch can't be overwound.

My point was really just that a winder should not wind 24/7, instead using intermittent wind/non-wind times (on a cheaper winder) or turning a specific number of times per day (on a more expensive winder). Since watches are meant to be operated within a window between partially wound and fully wound, I was theorizing that keeping a watch fully wound all the time might make it run fast. In hindsight, though, that is probably a stupid theory. Also, while it is true that a watch can't be overwound, a watch will wear out and break quickly if kept in a state where the clutch is constantly engaged. This is why those really cheap winders that simply turn all day are so dangerous.
